Leah Ethier, MA, LPC
Founder & Clinical Director
Leah is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose career has been guided by one compelling belief- that every person deserves help, hope, and healing. As the founder of Radiate Counseling, she blends twenty years of clinical insight with a warm, relational style that invites clients to step into lasting change.
Educational Foundations & Professional Licensure
A proud Michigander, Leah began her academic journey at the University of Michigan and Rochester University, earning her bachelor’s degree that fused the social sciences with a deep curiosity about human potential. She went on to complete a Master of Arts in Counseling at Spring Arbor University, graduating with specializations in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Leah holds an active LPC license in the State of Michigan and meets all supervision and continuing-education requirements set forth by the Michigan Board of Counseling.
Clinical Experience
Leah’s first professional role began at Perspectives Counseling Centers in Troy, Michigan, where she completed her intensive internship before accepting a full-time clinician role. Over the next decade she honed evidence-based skills in cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care, ultimately serving as Director of Training & Education. In that capacity she designed onboarding curricula, supervised graduate interns, and spearheaded multi-disciplinary case consultations—experience that now informs Radiate Counseling’s own clinician-development track.
School Counseling & Adolescent Advocacy
Recognizing that mental health needs start well before adulthood, Leah completed a complementary internship with Warren Consolidated Schools and later became a high school guidance counselor at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Pontiac. There she championed social-emotional learning, individualized academic advising, and first-generation college access programs, helping students translate classroom success into life success.
Academic Instruction & Thought Leadership
Leah has never kept her knowledge to herself. As an Adjunct Professor at both Rochester Christian University and Spring Arbor University, she has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in counseling theory, ethics, and group dynamics. Former students frequently note her ability to make complex clinical concepts approachable and actionable—qualities that also shine in her public workshops and community seminars.
Radiate Counseling: Vision & Practice
Founded on the conviction that light drives out darkness, Radiate Counseling exists to help clients rediscover hope and pursue holistic healing. Leah leads a growing team that serves adolescents and adults offering personalized individual counseling as well as clinical supervision for limited licensed counselors. Her integrative approach weaves CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques with a faith-sensitive perspective for clients who request it, always honoring each person’s unique story and worldview.
Outside the Office
When she’s not in session you can find Leah kayaking Michigan’s lakes with her family, or trying out a strong cup of coffee at a local coffee shop!
Guided by compassion and fortified by clinical excellence, Leah’s mission is simple: to radiate light that sparks transformation in every life she touches.
