She went on to earn her Master’s in Counseling from Argosy University–Chicago (formerly the Illinois School of Professional Psychology), where she was trained in evidence-based interventions rooted in both developmental and clinical theory.
Early Clinical Work & Specializations
Following her graduate internship, Aleksandra began her professional career in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) setting, working with children, adolescents, and adults facing acute emotional and behavioral challenges. In this high-acuity environment, she provided individual, group, and family therapy, along with case management and discharge planning.
She also served as Lead Therapist for the Eating Disorder Program, providing specialized support to individuals struggling with anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. Her responsibilities included developing treatment plans, facilitating nutrition-focused groups, and supporting family systems in the recovery process. Aleksandra was also actively involved in training new therapists and supervising clinical interns, demonstrating both leadership and a deep commitment to the professional growth of others.
Work with Adjudicated Youth
Aleksandra later expanded her experience by serving in a secure residential treatment facility for adjudicated youth, where she offered individual, group, and family counseling as well as crisis interventions. She was frequently called upon to participate in court hearings, interdisciplinary team meetings, and coordination with case workers and youth specialists, further deepening her clinical and collaborative skills in high-stress environments.
Outpatient Practice
Transitioning into outpatient work, Aleksandra joined Perspectives of Troy, where she provided individual and family therapy to children, teens, and adults.
